Russia Backs Ethiopia Sea Talks

Russia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Evgeny Terekhin, said Ethiopia’s quest for sea access should be resolved through dialogue, mutual agreements, and adherence to international law. Speaking to ENA in Addis Ababa, he emphasized that such matters must be settled by the parties directly involved. Terekhin noted that many landlocked nations face similar challenges. His comments follow Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s appeal for mediation with global powers to secure peaceful sea access.
