National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula and Co-operatives CS Wycliffe Oparanya urged the Luhya community to support President Ruto’s 2027 re-election bid, calling it an opportunity to boost Western Kenya’s influence. Speaking in Kakamega, they said a united voting bloc could increase the region’s bargaining power and strengthen prospects for a potential 2032 presidency. They cited infrastructure projects and health funding as evidence of government support.
