Airtel Tanzania partnered with UNICEF and the Ministry of Education to launch the SmartWasomi digital learning initiative in Zanzibar. The program improves digital literacy, removes data barriers, and trains teachers to support the region’s shift to a knowledge-based economy. By providing free access to educational content, it benefits students and teachers, bridging education gaps and promoting economic growth. Airtel plans to connect over 1,000 schools by 2025.
