Zambia, China Partner on Tourism Skills

The Zambian government pursued a tourism skills partnership with Shaanxi Tourism Cuisine Professional College in China. Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba confirmed plans for joint training programs, shared certifications, faculty exchanges, and technology transfer. The collaboration aimed to strengthen Zambia’s tourism and hospitality workforce, focusing on airline services, hotel operations, and mixology. The initiative supported Zambia’s goal of raising industry standards and boosting regional competitiveness.
