FUNGUO Expands Funding to $2.65M

Tanzania’s FUNGUO Innovation Programme expanded its catalytic funding to TZS 6.5 billion (about $2.65 million), supporting 13 new startups and bringing the total number of supported ventures to 74. Implemented by UNDP and funded by the EU, UK, and Finland, FUNGUO targets early-stage businesses, particularly those led by youth and women. The program aims to bridge funding gaps, foster job creation, and build a more inclusive and resilient innovation ecosystem in Tanzania.
