CRDB Bank and French investment bank Bpifrance have signed a €37.5 million (about 115 billion TZS) financing agreement with the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar to establish a digital Land Administration and Registration Information System (LARIS). Witnessed by President Hussein Mwinyi, the project seeks to modernize land management, minimize ownership disputes, and strengthen revenue collection. CRDB will contribute €7.9 million and Bpifrance €29.5 million to digitize land records and drive economic growth.
