Deputy PM Highlights AI Youth Training

Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh emphasized the government’s efforts to equip youth with artificial intelligence skills to boost national competitiveness. At the 2025 AI Summer Camp graduation at the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute in Addis Ababa. The two-month program trained 300 students in programming, robotics, machine learning, and natural language processing. Temesgen added that the initiative advances the Digital Ethiopia strategy and prepares students for technology-driven roles in the global economy.
