Govt to Cover SHA for 1.5M Kenyans

President William Ruto said the government will start paying Social Health Authority (SHA) fees for 1.5 million Kenyans who cannot afford them, beginning next week. He also said talks are ongoing to have governors and MPs pay for about one million more people. Ruto explained that SHA fees are 2.75% of income and that healthcare under SHA is available to everyone, no matter the county.
