Maraga to Run for Presidency in 2027

Former Chief Justice David Maraga joined the United Green Movement (UGM) as a founding member and its 2027 presidential flagbearer. Speaking at the party’s Founding Members Forum in Nairobi, Maraga said his leadership would prioritize the rule of law and constitutionalism. Party founder Agostinho Neto confirmed his preselection, urging him to rally nationwide support ahead of the National Delegates Conference. Maraga pledged to promote inclusive governance and restore integrity in public institutions.
