Meta & Safaricom Back New Daraja Cable

On September 2, 2025, Meta, via its infrastructure arm Edge Network Services, and Safaricom announced a joint $23 million investment in a new subsea cable project named “Daraja,” which will link Oman to Mombasa, Kenya, enhancing regional internet connectivity.
