Museveni Appoints Batala as New IGG

President Yoweri Museveni appointed Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala as the new Inspector General of Government, replacing Beti Olive Namisango Kamya. The move is part of a leadership change in Uganda’s anti-corruption agency. Deputies Dr. Patricia Achan Okiria and Anne Twinomugisha Muhairwe remain in their roles. Presidential Deputy Press Secretary Faruk Kirunda confirmed the appointments and stated the names have been sent to Parliament for vetting, as required by the Constitution.
