Remittances Reach Ksh 54.3B in Sept

Kenya received $419.6 million (Sh54.3 billion) in diaspora remittances in September, a 0.2% increase from August, according to the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). Cumulative inflows over the past 12 months rose 7.6% to $5.08 billion (Sh657.9 billion). The United States remained the largest source, with funds supporting education, healthcare, and family needs. CBK projected remittances to reach $5.24 billion (Sh678.7 billion) in 2025 and $5.56 billion (Sh720.1 billion) in 2026.
