President William Ruto will attend the United Nations Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, Qatar, beginning Monday. State House said the three-day summit will focus on poverty reduction, decent work, and social inclusion. Ruto will also hold talks with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to deepen cooperation in trade, energy, and infrastructure. Kenya seeks expanded Qatari investments and an upgraded labor agreement to boost opportunities for Kenyan professionals.
