Tanzania is advancing the construction of Msalato International Airport in Dodoma to establish it as a regional air transport hub for the Great Lakes region. The project has reached 95.95% completion for infrastructure and 63% for buildings. The airport will include a terminal with 1.5 million passenger capacity, support large aircraft, and offer cargo and emergency services. Officials aim to boost trade, tourism, and investment while improving regional connectivity and economic growth.
