Uganda secured a seat on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council for the 2025–2028 term after receiving 155 of 185 votes during elections at the 42nd ICAO Assembly in Montreal. The country will be represented by Kabbs Tijuke. The Council sets global aviation standards, and Uganda joins other African nations, strengthening the continent’s role in international aviation governance.
