VP and Chinese Envoy Handover Geopark

Vice President Dr. Philip Mpango and Chinese Ambassador Chen Mingjian handed over the China-aided Ngorongoro-Lengai Geopark Museum to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. The USD 9.5 million project supports conservation, tourism, and scientific research, marking China’s first cultural and tourism aid project abroad. Officials highlighted its geological significance and strategic role in China–Tanzania cooperation. Over 1,000 people attended, including Tanzanian leaders, local communities, and Chinese representatives.
